About Safi
Safi is a small, Arabic-first app for people trying to stop using porn. It exists because almost everything in this space is in English, and most of it works through counters that reset to zero and language that leaves people feeling smaller.
The premise is simple: shame is what feeds this, not a lack of resolve. So anything in the app that would add shame is out, even if it would be "motivating".
Who is behind it
A small team building Arabic apps. Not doctors and not therapists, and the app claims nothing else. The health content in it is deliberately hedged, and the pages say clearly when something needs a professional.
What Safi does not do
It is not treatment, not a diagnosis and not a substitute for a professional. And it has no community and no messaging between users — a deliberate decision, because those spaces in this particular category turn harmful faster than they turn useful.
